“Celebrating God’s Goodness & Faithfulness”

A little Baptist church on its deathbed appealed to Tri-City Baptist Church for help. Pastor Cockrell stepped in to help by preaching at his church and this church for about one year, when he hired Pastor Tom Sooter to come and take the ‘north’ church. He arrived in 1980 and by March of 1982, that little church was up and growing, paying off what seemed like an insurmountable debt and officially calling itself Eagle Heights Baptist Church. The name was chosen to challenge the church members to spiritual maturity. An Eagle flies high, nests high and is majestic in flight, even utilizing the wind currents (adversity) to propel their flight to new heights.
Through these 35 years we have been striving to live up to the picture:, “they that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary and walk and not faint.”Isaiah 40:31
Thank you, congregation for your faithfulness to the Lord, this local community and fellow-church members. If you are without a church, we invite you to stop in and visit. We have children’s, teen’s adult and senior adult ministries. We also have a Monday-Friday school ministry for 3year olds – 12th grade and support missionaries all around the world.
