Evangelist Rich Tozour
Testimony and Call At nine years of age I recall making a conscious decision that I would believe whatever the Bible said, because it was God's Word. The Holy Spirit was preparing my heart to recognize my need of salvation. A year after that my father explained the Gospel to me, and I received the Lord Jesus as my Savior at age ten. That was February 12, 1977, the most significant and important day of my life. Several years after that, my parents decided to put my sisters and me in a Christian school. It was during that first year in the Christian school (when I was fifteen) that God called me to preach. After graduating from high school, I went to Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, and majored in Bible. During the summers, I was able to travel with an evangelist, preach for several of PCC's traveling ensembles, and work as camp counselor at the Wilds Christian Camp in Brevard, North Carolina. The Lord provided further experience by allowing me to travel as a college representative for Pensacola Christian College both in the United States and internationally, to missionary schools around the world. During these years as a college representative, I became acquainted with Angela Wessberg, a PCC student who enrolled the fall after I graduated. The Lord directed us together, and - with our parents' full blessing - we were married in May 1993. In August of 1993 we moved to Kansas City, Missouri, to join Eagle Heights Baptist Church. We both taught in our church's Christian school in '93/94 and became actively involved in our home church. We have been in full-time evangelism for many years and have traveled all across the U.S., into Canada, and abroad for meetings. The Lord willing, we plan to be in evangelism till Jesus comes.
